Behavior
Analysis Digest is a quarterly newsletter designed to provide
its readers with jargon-free plain language information about the
emerging field of behavior analysis. It is an international digest
that provides a clearinghouse and exchange of concise news and information
on the experimental, theoretical and applied analysis of behavior.
Origins
The
first issue of Behavior Analysis Digest was published in
late 1989. Aware that often the work done by behavior analysts is
noticed only by other behavior analysts who read the field's technical
publications, Joseph Wyatt decided to develop a newsletter. It would
be comprised of brief accounts written in newspaper style. It would
be low cost. It would include reports of research, opinion pieces
and behavior analytic interpretations of current events. Above all,
its pieces would be newsworthy. More than ten years later the Digest
continues to accomplish those goals.
